Similar Climates is a static atlas. There is no account, no server-side log of who you are, and no analytics on this site.

Settings (°F/°C, miles/kilometres, map theme, and the rest) stay in your browser’s local storage. Reset settings clears them.

Locate Me uses the browser geolocation API only after you tap the control. Coordinates stay on your device for that visit; we do not receive them.

Opening view, units, and language follow your timezone and language settings — not your IP address.

Send product feedback opens a Google Form. That form is operated by Google; their privacy policy applies to anything you submit there.

Map layers and climate figures come from third parties listed under Sources on the map (Beck et al., WorldClim, Open-Meteo, Natural Earth, ETOPO, GeoNames).
